Custom Play Environments

We help organize, plan, and create individualized play areas that work best for your child at home.

"Children need organization with their toys in order to be able to make a plan and carry out their ideas. When children are able to initiate their own play ideas with organized materials in sight, they are better able to sustain play for longer periods of time."

- Becky Thomas, founder and teacher at Playgroup

  • An environment that makes your child feel safe, comfortable, and interested

  • Toys, activities, and books based on your child's interests and strengths

  • A stress-free playspace that’s organized and personalized

Does playtime at home bring out stress and anxiety before it begins?

And when it is time to play, does your child seem nervous, overwhelmed, uninterested, or quickly switches to impulsive behaviors, and you're not sure why? We can help.

Children struggling to play independently at home or having difficult play dates may be experiencing frustration, overwhelm, or disengagement due to playroom or bedroom organization.

Unknowingly, even if the space looks fantastic, stacked with toy and craft options, colorful, or highly ‘designed,’ it may not be what your child needs to thrive. There may be too many options or just not enough of what the child is actually interested in. How do you strike the right balance?

We can help calm the stress and anxiety and switch the impulsive behaviors for successful, engaging playtime.

Kids learn so much through play.

Creating a space that demands a child to turn up their energy by encouraging running, swinging, jumping, and playing non-stop may work for some children. For some, a calming space that encourages less active play is what they need to learn, play, explore, grow, and thrive.

We understand how finding the right balance can be difficult when you are not sure what to look for.

How Custom Play Environments Work

Our home visits help set up and organize the environment after spending time playing with the child and speaking with the parent(s) about their concerns/struggles. We also provide a list of materials, toys, and games tailored to a child's interests and strengths.

Our goal is to create a space that is led by your child’s interests and needs and create space for them to boost their confidence, foster enjoyment in peer interactions, develop social language and problem-solving abilities, and explore individual identity with other children.

Working right alongside you and your child, we craft a completely personalized plan to organize and individualize your child’s playroom or bedroom environment.
